So, there's that, but also, who even goes on MySpace anymore??? Lame-O's. That's who. And TBID is no lame-o. Believe you me.
Since last spring we've been recording new songs and re-recording old ones. We wanted to get a release done over the summer but that never happened (obviously). And now it's almost been a year. We wrote some new songs that have yet to be recorded and there are still a few more to be written. I can't say that I feel good about this release only because it's been pushed back so far.
We've also been taping a mockumentary sitcom of sorts and interviews of the band members that are, for the most part, completely sincere. We may have to do Chris' interview over only because Kyle filmed it out of focus and I filmed it too long and it wouldn't upload to Chris' computer.
Once we finish the interviews and record the new songs, we're planning on releasing both in a package that we will sell between $6 and $10 (depends on the demand and how much it costs to make everything). There will most likely be only one pressing (I call it a pressing but really it'll just be one or two or three or four of us burning cd's and dvd's) and probably about 50-75 packages made.
The package will/might contain:
- CD ("Cat In Ferret Shoes. Cat 'N Ferret Shoes. Cat In Ferret's Shoes.")
- DVD (interviews and These Birds is Actors)
- Thank you letter
- A patch?
- Something else that I'm forgetting.
Love,
Matt
